Rogue Reconnaissance was founded in 2016 by two wildland firefighters on a small two-acre fire on complex terrain in Oregon. During their shift, the incident commander ordered a manned IR flight because the terrain was too dangerous for an initial attack on ground resources. Both, with a background in GIS and operating UAS, simultaneously came up with the thought, "Can we attach an IR camera to our drone?" The answer was yes; the rest is history. We have grown and now have state and federal contracts to provide private entities with high-quality aerial imagery and data.
